Beginning March 19, 2024, guests will be automatically assigned a seat based on best availability for group size, departure and arrival stations. Seats will be automatically assigned for South Florida rides at the time of booking. We will always do our best to seat groups together.
For rides within South Florida, seats will be assigned to allow for a faster booking process, optimized seating, and to allow us to accommodate as many guests as possible on the train. This will create space for groups traveling together, including more options to travel between South Florida and Orlando.
How will families and groups be seated together under the new system?
Groups will be prioritized when assigning seats for South Florida rides. Because seats are assigned at the time of booking, groups are prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can I change my seat after it has been assigned?
Assigned seats cannot be changed. For special circumstances requiring assistance with your seating arrangements, please contact us.
Will automatic seat assignments affect the availability of preferred seats?
Automatic seat assignment aims to place you in the best seat type and takes into account your group’s size, origin, and destination.
How does this change improve seat availability and the booking experience?
This change is designed to ensure that as many seats remain available together, especially for trains that are nearing “sold out” capacity. This allows more groups to be seated together without compromising availability for individual travelers.
What should I do if I have special seating requirements (e.g., extra legroom, near the restroom)?
When completing your booking, please select the accessibility icon to select wheelchair seats, add infants to your group, and more.
Will this change affect the cost of my ticket?
No, this will not impact the cost of your ticket.
